In the past we worked without a tool of this kind, and relied heavily on our business partners and suppliers to develop new products. We never had the ability to create models or drawings. We literally would physically make prototypes, and ship them across the world to get quotes and further develop the products. The introduction of SOLIDWORKS has reduced our time to market by half and in some cases even more. We can now transfer ideas around the globe in matters of minutes instead of months. On top of new product development, we also use SOLIDWORKS heavily to increase quality control by making drawings and passing them along to our suppliers. SOLIDWORKS literally took us out of the stone age when it comes to new product development.
