What's New in SOLIDWORKS 2019

The Chamfer and Fillet feature has been enhanced in SOLIDWORKS 2019 to provide the ability to create partial features with specified lengths.

  1. Click Chamfer on the features toolbar or Insert > Features > Chamfer.
  2. Right-click the edge shown and click Select Tangency.

  3. In the Property Manager:
    •  Under Chamfer Type, click Offset Face

    • Select Full preview and Partial Edge Parameters

    • In the Start and End conditions enter the desired offset.
  4. Click the green check mark to complete the chamfer

TIP: A Chamfer can be changed to a Fillet (and vice versa) using the Right-click menu
